A: Hello, With the power from IEEE802.3af PoE switch/injector (NOT included) via one CAT5,6, or 7 ethernet cable (up to 330ft, one 1m/3.3ft cable included),     you could set up and access the camera via Reolink App, Reolink PC client, or web browser (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari).

Q: What type of Ethernet cable do I need?

A:Hello,This camera supports CAT5, CAT5E, CAT6, CAT7 with 8 PIN Ethernet cables.
The maximum length the camera supported is 80 meters (about 262 feet).

Q:Can I use this camera with a different brand of NVR?

A:Hello,It is not recommended to do that due to compatibility issues.

Q:What is the difference of the 810A and 820A cameras?

A:Hello,the functions of them are all the same, the only difference between the two is their appearance,
and 810A support Up to 130ft night vision,820A support Up to 100ft.

Q:When using a SD card for the 820A does it record continuously and overwrite when its full?

A: Hello, it can record 24/7 to the SD card. And when you enabled the overwrite function, it will overwrite the old files when it's full, please don't          worry          about that.

Q:Does the rlc-820a works with rlk16-410b8-5mp?

A:Hello,  the RLC-820A can work with the RLN16-410 in the RLK16-410B8-5MP system, please don't worry about it.

Q:do I need to put the motion detection off to record 24/7

Q:Will this camera work without a reolink nvr? can it be setup with a web browser and push video to an ftp server?

A:Hello,Yes, our Poe camera will work without nvr. In addition, you can set up the camera via a web browser and save the video to ftp server.

Q:Does this camera require an internet connection to either setup or to use (for local only use?)

A: Hello,It does not require an internet connection. The NVR will detect the camera and it will display on the attached tv/monitor.
You will not be able to view the cameras remotely without internet but it will still record locally on the hard drive of the nvr.

Q: Do you need a recording device or can you use this as a stand alone device

A:Hello, the camera can work and record independently. You can insert an SD card(up to 256G) for the camera to record the videos since it has a     built-in SD      card slot.
